Burn Down the Disco - Screen print
Presenting my latest screen print - featuring a lyric from The Smiths song "Panic" in silver ink, this A4 print is simple but effective I think. As people who know me will be aware, I love the Smiths and so I think this one will be taking a place on my wall at home!

Needle felted Christmas Pudding baubles
Another Christmas decoration I have created, Needle felted Xmas Pudding Baubles! To be honest I did cheat a bit and needle felted on to polystyrene balls but the result is just as good I think and takes a lot less time! These baubles are going to be for sale on my stall at The Spiegeltent Christmas Market in Bristol on November 30th (please see my facebook or twitter pages for more info).

Felt Christmas Baubles
I made some cute Christmas decorations from bits of felt, beads and ribbons. My sewing machine skills are still not as great as I'd like but these were good practice! The idea and the patterns came from Samantha Stas in this month's Mollie Makes Magazine.

Last weekend's craft stalls
Last weekend saw me having a stall at Nunney Fayre and also a table in a pop up shop in Frome, as part of the Frome super market.
I was really pleased with how my stall looked on saturday (I shared it with my dad who makes wooden items such as walking sticks, clocks and bowls). It probably would have been a good day had it not been for the monsoon rains we received about half way through the day, and as you can see we didn't have a gazebo! we wont make that mistake again. On sunday I was in Poot emporium pop up shop in Frome, selling as part of the Love Local area of the shop.

Monster Birthday screen printed card
I found a card that I'd designed a while ago for my brother's birthday, and decided it would make a rather nice and simple screen printed birthday card, with two colours.
I made the stencil out of acetate this time instead of sticky vinyl which worked quite well except when it came to the text, which was a bit of a nightmare! also because it was quite a hot day yesterday the ink was drying up rather too quickly! so the cards did not quite turn out as well as I had hoped but I think they have a sort of rustic charm!
I have one listed now on my Welaughindoors Folksy shop and will list more if they prove popular.
In the meantime I must try to invest in an exposure unit so that I no longer have to use stencils!

Ampersands Screen print
My latest screen printing experiment is now complete, it consists of three differently shaped Ampersands printed in process Cyan, Magenta and Yellow over the top of each other. As you may know I am rather obsessed with typography, and I love the way one character can be so many different shapes, so I created this print to explore the shapes and how they'd interact with one another.
The print is A4 sized and is available now from my Folksy shop!
Here are some pics of the final print and a few of them in progress:
